CoachSource is constantly expanding its community of the world’s most experienced executive coaches*. Only the most effective, talented and seasoned executive coaches are eligible to participate in CoachSource’s community. CoachSource focuses on leadership coaching (and sometimes an emphasis on intercultural effectiveness, business transition, or career planning) but does not source or refer "life" coaches.

Coach Screening - Seven key criteria:

  1. Specialist in leadership effectiveness coaching - helping leaders achieve positive, long-term change in leadership behavior over time.
  2. Extensive experience coaching senior leaders (C-level, EVP/SVP, VP, Director).
  3. Years of experience coaching - Minimum five years as practitioner, 10+ years preferred, minimum 2 years independent. Employees of clients must be unemployed from their company for 2 years.
  4. Business experience - formerly possessing senior leadership positions in organizations, line management and Fortune/FTSE 500 preferred.
  5. Client list of Fortune/FTSE 500 organizations of similar size and stature to our clients.
  6. Advanced degree - MBA, MA, MS, or Ph.D. in organizational development, organization psychology, business or related fields.
  7. Executive presence - demonstrates the overall presence of a seasoned, senior executive coach.

Also Influential:

  1. References from candidate's coaching clients.
  2. References from CoachSource clients and/or coaches.
  3. Specific coach training and certification.
  4. Geographic location.

CoachSource is always seeking to create a diverse network of coaches, i.e., background, culture, and business experience.

*Please note:  Due to an abundance of extremely talented U.S. coaches already partnering with us, we are temporarily limiting our acceptance of U.S. coach applications by focusing only those who meet our standard qualifications AND who meet some or most of the following additional criteria:

  1. Business experience in senior leadership/senior executive roles inside large corporations, especially those with P&L management responsibilities
  2. Hold current ICF PCC/MCC, EMCC/SCP or MCP certifications
  3. Would expand the diversity of our global coach community
  4. Coach fluently in two or more languages
  5. Possess the most often requested instrument and assessment certifications (i.e., Hogan, Leadership Circle 360, KF4D, KF360, etc.)
  6. Tech-savvy with significant coaching experience on multiple virtual platforms (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc), and can administer online coaching tools and applications  (i.e., on-line surveys, virtual 360 feedback tools, etc.)

The temporary restriction described above does NOT impact applications from non-U.S. coaches.  However, the additional criteria listed above are highly desirable for all applicants.
