The COVID-19 pandemic did more than simply change the way in which people work. It was, in fact, a major disruption in the career trajectory of many professionals. For some, remote and hybrid working scenarios improved work/life balance, increased productivity, and allowed for career advancement. For others, the pandemic brought into focus the need for a career break or complete change in career paths. The truth is, pandemic or not, periods of evaluation or reassessment happen for most people at some point in their career. The biggest challenge in navigating – an often long and sometimes windy – career path is being able to distinguish periods of career advancement from periods of pause and reflection…or to put it plainly, knowing when to push and when to pause.

Join us as we dig into both the S-curve/Smart Growth Framework and the Pressing Pause framework to gain practical tips for distinguishing and making the most of different inflection points along your career path.

After working in private practice as an executive coach for 12 years, Bob was recruited to serve as an executive coach at EY as part of the Americas Coaching Practice. After an amazing 5 years, he was recruited to join DHG to build the executive coaching practice in support of the partner group and that work is thriving as leaders at DHG reach for their full potential. DHG is currently merging with another professional services firm forming the 8th largest firm. We will accelerate the investment of coaching system-wide with a differential investment in the partners.

The topic of DE&I is very relevant right now. Most – if not all – major organizations have goals and initiatives centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. But, how can organizations ensure their DE&I efforts are impactful or that they are more than just “checking the box”? Obviously, no two organizations – nor two employees – process through change the same so a canned DE&I approach is sure to fall short on creating true impact. Incorporating executive coaching into your organization’s DE&I initiatives brings about a unique personalized process that meets each employee where they are, addresses their specific roadblocks, and measures the resulting progress.

Whether it be onboarding a new executive to the organization; or the movement of an existing leader to another – typically higher – position, change can be hard. In situations like this, executive coaching is often called upon to assist in the transition. Preceded only by leadership development coaching, transition coaching is the second most commonly-utilized type of executive coaching. In fact, according to the 2020 Executive Coaching for Results Research Study, internal practice managers reported that transition coaching accounted for 48% of the executive coaching that took place in their organizations. During this webinar, attendees will hear examples of past successes in transition coaching and learn the warning signs that help identify key opportunities for implementing an executive coaching transition strategy.
